UK Opportunities for Service

We are currently looking for several key personnel to join us at our UK office in Bradford, West Yorkshire to enable us to fulfill our roles of supporting the British missionaries serving overseas with HCJB Global, promoting the international ministries of HCJB Global and our UK radio ministries Whistling Frog Productions and Audiopot. See the details below.

We also value short-term and part-time volunteers:

If you live locally and are interested in radio, why not join our Radio Volunteers Group. They meet every Tuesday evening in the Bradford office, to produce short, creative items for use on local radio in Bradford and across the UK.

Current Vacancies

As a faith mission, all HCJB Global staff rely on the financial gifts of supporters for their income, therefore none of these positions are salaried.

Radio Producer

A person with radio experience to produce creative material for local radio in the UK. Full-time preferred.

Marketing Manager

A person to help us co-ordinate HCJB Global’s UK publicity and develop our presence at churches, conferences and exhibitions. Could be a part-time role.

Funding Co-ordinator

A person to oversee and develop the funding of our various projects.

Prayer Co-ordinator

A person to help us better inform our current supporters about HCJB Global prayer needs and to develop ideas that will encourage new people to pray. Part-time position. No experience necessary.

Personnel Manager

A person to manage the application processes for UK and overseas missionaries and to develop a recruitment plan for short-term and long-term placements with HCJB Global. Could be a part-time role. No experience necessary, training can be given.

IT Support Engineer

A person with broad IT skills in hardware, software, operating systems and networking. Assisting the IT Manager in providing strategic and operational support to the UK office and other regions of HCJB Global. Full-time preferred.

The basic requirements for service with HCJB-UK are:

  • Christian with a clear personal faith.
  • A commitment and desire to serve God
    • by proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ in order to bring people to faith
    • and to help them grow in their faith
    • by meeting practical and material needs
    • by showing God's love through word and action.
  • Sound faith in the Bible as the inspired Word of God. A statement of faith needs to be signed.
  • Marked Christian character in daily life.
  • Self-supporting or willing to raise financial support. HCJB Global does not pay a salary.
  • Willing to work under the authority and rules of the mission as well as willing to abstain from conduct that may be seen as offensive to the mission or other people.
  • For Long Term missionaries, a minimum of one year of formal Bible training (or its equivalent in approved Bible correspondence courses).
  • For Short-term Missionaries, some Bible training is required.
  • Sufficient work experience in the skill area to be utilised on the field.

Steps in the Application Process for Working Visitors and Career Missionaries

  • All applications from people in the UK are processed by HCJB Global in the UK.
  • Complete the Preliminary Information Form .
  • We find out if there is a specific space within the mission for your skills.
  • If yes, you fill in a detailed application form and give us the names of people who would be prepared to act as your referees.
  • If applying as Short- or Long-term Missionary you need a medical (for Working Visitors this is only required under specific circumstances)
  • If everything is satisfactory you will have an interview with some representatives from HCJB.
  • The HCJB-UK Directors consider your application and make a decision. (The Directors meet four times a year).
  • Further steps than the ones outlined here may be part of the application process.
  • If your application has been successful, you start to raise financial and prayer support and make other preparations to go to the field.
