Satellite Technology

In 1992, HCJB Global began to look into using satellite technology as a programme delivery platform.

We now have satellite radio networks on air across Latin America, Russia and North Africa. The team at the Technology Centre was instrumental in making these networks a reality.

sattech1 Personnel at the Technology Centre have been involved in the development of satellite-related technology, including receivers, multiplexers,  automation systems , and customised tools for network control. In 1995 some of our team, along with Crown International, pioneered the creation of a Multiple Channel Per Carrier (MCPC) satellite delivery platform. Our desire in the satellite communications field is to help ministry partners achieve great effectiveness in the use of this technology.

As communication technologies converge, the Technology Centre is finding itself in a position to satisfy multiple needs of ministry partners by helping them make use of satellites. Satellites are now being used by HCJB Global and its partners for Internet-style streaming audio, for data file transfers, e-mail communications, long-distance telephone calls, financial database updates, and Web browsing - in addition to the initial use of delivering live audio programmes to radio stations.

sattech2Today, the rapid increase in popularity of home satellite delivery systems in many countries illustrates the ability to reach millions of potential listeners with the gospel of Jesus Christ in the privacy of their own homes, and many have come to Christ as a result.
