Education is a core ministry of HCJB Global. Presently this is represented by three main ministries, complimented by a number of smaller ministries, serving Latin America.

Additional Ministries:

  • Eduadis: A distance education is being developed. Plans are to work with partners to deliver education on video via satellite to downlinks in major Latin American cities. A pilot programme is being run by offering two courses (Life of Christ and Biblical Foundations for Marriage and the Family) via HCJB Global's education website (Spanish) . Response has been higher than expected, and more courses will be added.
  • Annual conferences (jornadas): Events cover the mass media, theology and healthcare from a pastoral approach.
  • Publications: Completed a book called Liderazco, Ideas Propias y Ajenas (Leadership, Ideas of My Own and Others) written by José "Chema" Reinoso from HCJB Global and co-published with Compassion-Ecuador. A second book, Manual de Pastoral Familiar (Handbook of Pastoral Work with Families) is being written.
  • Public service announcements: TV and radio spots highlighting health issues.
  • Camino de la Luz (Way of Light): Evangelistic and discipleship Bible studies started by late HCJB Global missionary Char Swanson. Studies continue to be taught in the community, at various mission departments and at Hospital Vozandes Quito.
